Clarksville Foundry Supports Teacher Externship Program

Some Clarksville-Montgomery County School System teachers visited Clarksville Foundry this summer to learn how industry can inspire student learning. The CMCSS Summer Externship Program offers local science and math teachers the opportunity to go on-site at local businesses and organizations to learn how science and math is used in various careers. Clarksville Foundry was one of nine local organizations to host teachers.

At Clarksville Foundry, teachers experienced firsthand how STEM principles are used by employees in pattern making, solidification modeling, temperature calculations and other daily tasks.
