Clarksville Foundry Featured on WNPT’s Tennessee Crossroads
Clarksville Foundry, one of Clarksville’s most historic businesses and one of the oldest operating foundries in the United States, was featured on Nashville Public Television’s "Tennessee Crossroads" program. The program aired on WNPT Channel 8 on Thursday, May 10 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 13 at 10 a.m.
The segment was taped at Clarksville Foundry and includes an interview with company president Charlie Foust conducted by producer Ken Wilshire. The Foust family has owned and operated Clarksville Foundry for 100 years of the company’s 165 year history. Charlie Foust is the third generation of his family to head the business and has led the company for over 30 years.
In addition to his profession, Foust is active in a variety of civic affairs. On May 8, Foust will be installed as the 2012-13 Chairman of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce.
"Tennessee Crossroads" has been on the air for 20 years. According to the NPT website, the show "travels the highways and byways of Tennessee, highlighting the personalities, crafts, places, foods and events that make Tennessee special and its character unique."
